Seeking high school students interested in sharing their thoughts on survey questions about ethnicity, race, and identity!

You can be part of a study aiming to:

Understand how white youth and youth of color interpret questions related to race, ethnicity, and identity.

Improve survey questions that ask young people about ethnicity, race, and identity.

Hear directly from high school students about their thoughts and feedback related to specific survey questions about ethnicity, race, and identity.

A team of researchers will be conducting the interviews, with the option to request an interviewer with a shared ethnic-racial background.

This study is led by Megan Satterthwaite-Freiman, doctoral student at Harvard University. The Harvard University Institutional Review Board has approved this study (IRB23-0316). High school students aged 14-18 are eligible to participate. Signed permission forms are required for all participants. Signed parent permission forms are required for students aged 14-17.
